My full time work is as an ordained minister in the United Church of Canada. One of the communities I currently serve is Harrow, Ontario. People in Harrow, and in other places are grieving the recent violent deaths of a family in town.
Harrow United Church is providing space on Friday evening, 6:30-8:30 pm for an event called Parenting Through Grief, which will be led by local staff of the Canadian Mental Health Association.
I was invited to speak about this event with Amy Dodge, host of the CBC radio show Windsor Morning.
Thank you for this. I am late to view -- my Colorado family came for two weeks and the first day the youngest tested for Covid ... then the other three. don and I took care of all and managed to stay negative, but life as normal did not happen. Slowly coming back.
Well done Darrow. Hope the event helps folks in the grieving and healing process. Great leadership. Prayers for you as you walk this time personally and professionally. Tough days for the community. As you said, it brings tragedy close to home.
