Another OPP officer killed in the line of duty

Another veteran officer, well regarded by his colleagues, has been killed while on duty. In an incident described by OPP Commissioner Carrique as an ambush, Sergeant Mueller and two fellow officers were immediately fired upon while attending a complaint of a disturbance in the small town of Bourget, near Ottawa, very early on Thursday morning. Eric Mueller leaves his wife and two children, as well as friends and peers to mourn his death at the age of 42.
