It still kind of blows me away so many people I have not met, and to whom I am not related are reading my book.
There are a growing number of paid subscribers. I’ve set the monthly and annual rates as low as this platform will allow, but there is still a trickle of money running from Stripe into our joint chequing account. I am grateful!
Some of the money has gone to subscribing to Canva.com, which allows me to play with graphics.
I also invested in a podcast mike- a Blue Yeti, and Beyerdynamic monitor headphones. Combined with the Logitech G-Hub and Audacity, I’m now set up to record an audio version of The Book of Answers. (One of my creative colleagues on Substack recommended an editing program called DaVinci. It seems to be geared mainly to working with video. For now, I’ll stick with Audacity.)
It took two and a half hours last Thursday night to record the first chapter. Yesterday, I recorded 3 more chapters, in about an hour, which indicates I am figuring it out.
What I don’t know, is if there is an audience for the narrated version.
My thought is to make it available to my paid subscribers. It would become, at this point, the only material behind the “paywall”.
The first chapter is now formatted as a podcast, with the text available to read as you listen. You can preview it here, for free, before I formally launch the audiobook.

I’d love to know what you think. Would you be interested in hearing the book, read by the author?
